SOUTH COAST/CKNW(AM980) – A wind storm that lashed the south coast through most of the day has moved on.
The storm started to taper off about 6pm after robbing thousands of BC Hydro customers of their electricity. It has also brought down trees in Stanley Park and elsewhere as wind gusts reach 80 kilometres an hour in the Vancouver area and up to 100 in the valley.
